Gia Greene is an 18 year-old musician who has been playing and performing since she was 3 years old. A classically trained singer, she studies voice with Barbara Winchester at the New England Conservatory of Music. Gia is a soprano with Boston's Handel and Haydn Young Women's Choir. She also studies piano and music theory as part of the H&H Vocal Apprenticeship Program. She will be attending Berklee College of Music in Boston as a freshman beginning in September 2011.
In addition to singing, Gia plays guitar, bass guitar, piano, ukulele, and flute. Gia has always had a passion for performing, writing and recording music. She was the lead singer and bassist of the band Midnight Blonde, as well as vocalist for bands The Ferrets and DWELL.
In 2007, Gia completed a solo CD entitled 'Luna', and is currently working on an untitled solo project. Gia is passionate about multiple music genres, including but not limited to classical music, alternative rock, indie singer-songwriters, shoegaze, electronica, jazz, and world music. She incorporates threads of these genres into her music to create a unique sound that is all her own.
When she's not recording music, Gia enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, watching movies, hanging out, walking aimlessly through neighboring cities, and getting caught in the rain wearing weather-inappropriate attire on a consistently frequent basis.
